Experiential / Equine-Assisted Therapy (Optional)
For clients who desire an experiential component, equine-assisted therapy can enhance self-awareness, confidence, and emotional regulation. This is an optional complement to ART and counseling.

Located at Deer Creek Valley conveniently located in Joplin, Missouri. The property is privately set on a 104 beautiful acres that boasts walking trails, Shoal Creek and a well appointed barn that has temperature controlled office space and restroom.
We currently are accepting new clients and have openings on weekdays.
Fees and Policies
At Simple Gifts we believe counseling is an investment in your mental and emotional well-being, and we invest a lot of time, energy, and preparation to provide clients with a meaningful experience. There is no insurance billing service provided at this time, but receipts are available upon request. These receipts or “superbills” can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement for out-of-network therapy.
The following policies are to be observed:

Payment due at time of service $140 per session - regardless of whether or not the client intends to submit a claim to their insurance for reimbursement.

Full payment is expected for an appointment not cancelled within twenty-four hours of your scheduled time slot (exceptions are made for emergencies), unless you are able to reschedule in the same week.

Following two consecutive cancellations, inconsistent attendance and/or non-payment of fees, your status as a client will be evaluated.

Any fees incurred due to bad checks will be the responsibility of the client. The fee is $25 per check, subject to change depending on bank fee.
